We
are a singing church. Not only do we love to sing but we are
proud of our choirs who perform for the glory of God in worship.
We say that our vocal choir may be small but it is mighty.
Our twelve ringers enjoy five octaves of bells.
Music is the heart
of our Christian worship and we appreciate a diversity of hymns
and the inclusive language found in the New Century hymnal published
in 1995 (which we affectionately call “the black hymnal”), as
well as the standard and well-loved traditional hymns from the
1974 edition (which we call “the red hymnal”). Congregational
singing is valued by our people and the source of great joy for
us. We are even known to sing our worship benediction to one
another as we hold hands, before departing into the world.
