We in the United Church of Christ practice an open communion table for all who believe and who earnestly desire to follow after the example of Jesus in our daily lives as much as we are able. At Peace we celebrate the service of bread and cup in a variety of ways. Whether by coming forward to receive the bread and dip it in the juice or by having the elements served to the congregation by our ushers, we feel the presence of the living Christ who invites us to receive new life through the enriching sustenance that this ritual offers. Holy communion is a tradition that we respect, a personal sacrament that we encourage, and an act of community life that we value. We celebrate this ritual the first Sunday of each month.
