We remember the words of Jesus, who welcomed children joyfully as he said, “Let the children come to me and do not stop them, because the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”  At Peace UCC we know that children bring a wonder and a freedom, an exuberance and a laughter to worship.  As a parent, please know that your children are welcome throughout the worship service.  Our congregation takes seriously the commitment to nurture our littlest ones.  We recognize the needs of children—the need to wiggle or giggle or screech once in awhile.  Our youngest guests are always welcome in the nursery where they will be lovingly nurtured, or feel free to keep them with you if that feels right.  We provide a bulletin for our older children to color, or to use to follow along with the service.  We welcome all children to join us in front during the children’s sermon, a time carved out especially for them. We want everyone to feel at home in our sanctuary, in the sanctuary of the One who said, “Whoever welcomes this little child in my name welcomes me.”
