Christen Pettit Miller is
a 1998 graduate of Bethany Theological Seminary. Her English
major from Manchester College has come into good use in crafting
sermons. Christen spent her first years out of seminary as associate
pastor at Manchester Church of the Brethren. She then finished
a residency in chaplaincy and joined
the staff of Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in 2005. She is
both a board certified chaplain with the Association of Professional
Chaplains and an ordained minister. She is passionate about seeking
out those liminal spaces where the divine and sacred mingle in
ordinary life, and finding the places where God meets us on our
daily journey. She is married to Robert Pettit and together they
have three children: Tess, Brynn, and Grayson. When she’s not
finding the balance between pastoring, parenting, and partnering,
you can find her reading, running, or cross-stitching.
