Dennis Bowman began taking piano lessons at the age of eight, and we at Peace Church are so thankful he did! He has been an important part of the ministry of Peace Church since 2006 and is quite diverse musically playing both the organ and piano for us. While he was raised on the “old-time” gospel hymns, he weaves both traditional and contemporary music together to create a worship experience which nurtures us all. While he’s not busy playing the organ or piano, you can find him in his garden or arranging flowers (ask him about his orchids!). He is an Advanced Master Gardener through Purdue University and works as a florist by day. Dennis reminds us that study of the organ seems to be a dying art in our times. We are thankful that at Peace UCC the rich tradition of organ music can continue thanks to Dennis.
