The staff of The Children’s Nursery School at Peace United Church of Christ has long been regarded as one of the most competent in the area. Over half of our teachers have been with us for more than fifteen years. Most have formal college degrees in early childhood education and all undertake twelve to fifteen hours of professional classes each year through the National Association of Education for Young Children. We have gathered a team of warm, caring, and friendly individuals who are joyfully committed to focusing on the interests, strengths, and needs of each child in their care. While being flexible in their approach, they create interesting educational challenges, provide instruction as appropriate, and encourage children to expand their present capabilities, always celebrating their successes. They organize and oversee the classroom’s physical environment to support the educational goals of all children. Above all, our competent staff, under the direction of a highly qualified and experienced director, encourages children’s enthusiasm for learning by making learning naturally fun.
